    Fairport Music and Food Festival ’07 wrap up

    Thank you to everyone that supported the Fairport Music and Food Festival and donating $45,000 to support the GolisanoChildren's Hospital at Strong.
    This year's event doubled the money raised over the past two years, bringing our three-year contribution to $89,000. We are so proud to support this fine institution in their mission to provide expert care for our area children.
    Kudos to all the volunteers who worked with committee leaders Kathy and Kevin Clark, Mike and Kati Healey, Jim Andres, Mike Guerrin and Bill Houston, to make the Aug. 25 event a highlight of Fairport summers. We are also grateful to the many area bands and musicians who donated their time and talents on Aug. 25, and to the Fairport restaurateurs for their delicious offerings.
    This year's FMFF was on a sweltering day, which many may remember. For us, it was the double-rainbow that appeared after a fast-moving rain shower. It rose over the Erie Canal and festival site and reminded us all of the miracles that occur every day thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong.
